FreddieDMS

FreddieDMS (Document Management System) was a system I initially planned to take over my filing of school work, I also planned to add OCR functionality and additional functions for exam papers and textbooks. It uses an Canon imageFORMULA DR-C130 and a LP2824 label printer.

Essentially the idea was each piece of work would be catalogued in an organised fashion and exam papers could be marked similar to how they are marked for the real thing using emarking systems such as Pearsons ePen. It would also let you spot common themes based on OCR of questions allowing them to be grouped into topics.

It was coded in Django and ran on a Raspberry Pi.

Unfortunately the project was never completed as I bought an e-ink device that made the project a bit redundant. I would like to improve on the exam paper functionality in the future as I think it could be useful for students.
